About The Position
Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center (EPVMC) is seeking a Veterinary Dental Assistant to join their expanding Dentistry Department. This role supports advanced dental and oral surgery procedures in a highly skilled environment, focusing on patient care and attention to detail. EPVMC is dedicated to providing advanced veterinary care, growing from an emergency medicine focus to a collaborative specialty hospital.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of veterinary general practice experience or equivalent role
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a highly specialized department
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient restraint, handling, and preparation for dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain dental treatment areas, instruments, and equipment
- Support anesthesia preparation and patient recovery
- Assist with dental radiographs, dental CT, and diagnostic procedures
- Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of dental instruments and equipment
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory management
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges
- Support client communication and education regarding dental care
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Work closely with veterinarians, credentialed technicians, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care
