About The Position

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is hiring Veterinary Assistants to join our Emergency, Surgical, and Medicine teams. This full-time Veterinary Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build veterinary skills while working alongside experienced veterinarians and credentialed technicians in a specialty animal hospital. Join a Level 1 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital where you’ll support high-acuity patient care, grow your clinical skills, and make an impact every shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical or emergency veterinary environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Team-focused, collaborative mindset with willingness to learn
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Responsibilities

• Prepare, disinfect, and maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and equipment
• Laundry, dishes, and restocking supplies
• Provide safe and compassionate restraint during patient examinations and procedures
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians throughout the patient visit and treatment process
