Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain patients while prioritizing their comfort and well-being
- Monitor patients and communicate changes or concerns to the medical team
- Prepare examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Collect samples and support laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Assist with pharmacy duties and medication preparation as directed
- Help maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
- Support patient care before, during, and after procedures
- Clean, organize, and restock hospital work areas
- Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients
- Reinforce veterinarian-approved education about medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and home-care instructions
- Support teammates and contribute to an efficient daily hospital workflow
