About The Position
VCA Willow Creek Pet Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This position is full-time with rotating weekends. VCA Willow Creek Pet Center has been Utah's premier full-service animal hospital since 1983 and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Radiology
- Laboratory work
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement

- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care of hospitalized animals
Responsibilities
- Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
- Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience, so exceptional care can be provided to every patient.
- Utilize knowledge in areas such as physical examinations and patient assessment, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation and assisting, dentistry, radiology, laboratory work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy, and patient recovery.
- Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
