Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and credentialed technicians while helping deliver exceptional patient care. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays organized while managing multiple priorities, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, eager to learn and able to adapt to changing priorities while taking direction from multiple team members. WVRC Waukesha is a 24/7 VECCS Level I Certified Emergency & Critical Care and Specialty Hospital, providing advanced, lifesaving care in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. You'll work alongside a highly skilled team of specialists, emergency clinicians, and dedicated support staff in a collaborative environment where teamwork, mentorship, and continuous learning are at the heart of everything we do. Requirements
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required.
- Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.
