About The Position
Animal Care Center, voted best in the area for veterinary clinics and grooming facilities, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join their collaborative 3-doctor team in Minnesota's beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area. This position is ideal for someone looking for a hospital where staff are trusted, respected, and utilized to their full potential. The hospital maintains an exceptional 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, allowing the team to focus on delivering outstanding patient care while practicing advanced technical skills. Technicians play an integral role in anesthesia and surgery, including inducing anesthesia, intubating patients, monitoring procedures, and managing dedicated technician appointments. Animal Care Center believes work-life balance is important, with the hospital open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no regular evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts. Full-time technicians are scheduled either four or five days a week and receive a full one-hour lunch break. For those interested in additional earning opportunities, technicians may participate in an after-hours emergency on-call program from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekends, receiving a stipend plus overtime pay.
