About The Position
VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital in Edmond, OK is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant. This busy practice sees dogs, cats, reptiles, and pocket pets, with 7 doctors contributing to a family-like atmosphere. The Veterinary Assistant will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress environment for clients and patients, aiming to build client confidence and ensure exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Ability to restrain and assist in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Skill in taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Proficiency in filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Experience performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Ability to provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Competence in maintaining medical records.
- Willingness to assist Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
