About The Position
VCA Arbor Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position with a 4x10 schedule, including rotating Saturdays. The role involves supporting the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients. The mission is to build client confidence through outstanding service to ensure exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Ability to restrain and assist in patient exams and routine procedures.
- Skill in taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
- Proficiency in filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
- Experience performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Capability to provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
- Experience maintaining medical records.
- Willingness to assist Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
Responsibilities
