Prestige Animal Hospital North Fontana is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their dedicated and collaborative team. Requirements
- Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
- Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including prep, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures while maintaining accurate records
- Practice fear-free and low-stress handling techniques
- Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
- Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized treatment environment
- Collaborate with the team to support efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
