About The Position

Paws & Claws Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic that cares for cats and dogs, as well as all kinds of exotic animals and local injured wildlife. The staff members are professional and courteous, and they strive to deliver the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for all valued patients. The clinic is committed to clients and to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities. The veterinarians have a combined total of more than four decades of veterinary medical experience, and they have the knowledge and expertise necessary to give pets the quality medical care they need and deserve. Whether it is a dog, cat, bird, reptile or small mammal that needs care, special attention is taken to make sure that the pet’s visit is both comforting and effective. High-class pet boarding facilities are also provided.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience required

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in sample collection
• Obtaining medical histories
• Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring are a bonus

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint
• Triage incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Anesthetic management
