About The Position

VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital is hiring a full time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We have been serving pets and their people in the communities of Harwich, Chatham, Brewster, Dennis, Orleans, as well as other areas of the lower cape, since 1975. Our Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital, that provides top quality medical services, bathing, wellness exams, preventative care, including vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, digital radiography including dental radiography, and advanced surgical orthopedic services. Requirements

Must include a Saturday rotation
Candidates must be positive and motivated
Associates that are going to have the determination to rise above obstacles, wear multiple hats and work as a team
Whether you are a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in.

Responsibilities

Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery
Procedural anesthesia and monitoring
IV fluid administration and CRI calculations
Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging
Client communications and discharge
