About The Position
Bush Veterinary Neurology Services (BVNS) is seeking an overnight Veterinary Assistant for a part-time position in Rockville, MD. This role is crucial for providing exceptional care to post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase. BVNS emphasizes growth, support, and collaboration, offering a comprehensive training program for technicians of all backgrounds, including those from general practice. They are also supportive of individuals currently in an RVT/LVT program and offer tuition reimbursement.
Requirements
- Eager to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Strong foundation in veterinary technical skills
- Great attitude and enjoys working with teammates
- At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EzyVet
- Currently in an RVT/LVT program
Responsibilities
- Learning and mastering neurological anatomy and functions
- Patient restraint and learning how and why neurologic patients require specific restraint/patient care skills
- Client education including intake and discharge instructions
