About The Position

Moffett Veterinary Hospital provides a wide range of services for dogs and cats, including preventive care, surgery, routine dental cleaning and radiographs, in-house labs, boarding, bathing, and grooming. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for pet restraint, triaging incoming patients, collecting and analyzing lab samples, diagnostic imaging, managing and providing nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases, administering medications, communicating treatment plans to clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. The role requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Opportunities for growth and development through virtual and hands-on training are available.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
