Veterinary Assistant - North Vancouver Pet Hospital
About The Position
North Vancouver Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join their growing team. They are a small community practice that prides itself in quality patient and client care. The ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure.
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Ability to counsel and educate clients
- Ability to suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing
- Ability to greet, handle, and treat animals
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a small community practice
- Experience in a newer building facility
