Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
Parkside Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to work alongside veterinarians and veterinary technicians, supporting patient care and smooth hospital operations. The hospital describes itself as an established, well-managed practice offering opportunities to learn, develop skills, and grow in a supportive team environment. The position follows a four-day workweek with no nights, weekends, or major holidays. Pay is $17–$19 per hour. The role involves assisting with patient care, handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately, preparing exam and treatment areas, and supporting appointments, treatments, and procedures. The Veterinary Assistant also helps keep patient-care areas clean, organized, and stocked; communicates compassionately with clients and teammates; and supports an efficient hospital workflow wherever needed.

Responsibilities
