About The Position

Home Veterinary Services, L.L.C. is a full service veterinary clinic offering state-of-the-art resources in the comfort of a 1918 home. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the veterinary team and ensure the well-being of animal patients. This role requires compassion, the ability to handle stressful situations calmly, and strong communication skills. Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
