About The Position

Priority Pet Urgent Care of Hermitage is a new facility offering urgent care for pets 7 days a week from 2 pm to 12 am midnight. We are seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Medical Technicians (LVMTs) to provide high-quality veterinary care. Our modern facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to support our team in delivering excellent service to the community.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Compassionate and calm team player
• Ability to properly restrain pets
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in sample collection
• Obtaining medical histories
• Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring skills

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint
• Triage incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Anesthetic management
