About The Position

Come join our overnight team as a Veterinary Assistant! We’re looking for someone who must embody the culture of treating every colleague with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the hospital environment. Madison Veterinary Specialists (MVS) and Emergency is a privately owned, AAHA Referral practice located in Madison, Wisconsin with Board Certified Veterinarians in Oncology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology and Dermatology. We are looking to enhance our growing Surgery team by hiring an assistant! To be successful within this role, candidates should possess the following skills: Responsibilities include: Monitoring post-operative patients overnight, including vital signs and overall comfort Providing hands-on nursing support such as repositioning, bedding changes, and maintaining a clean, comfortable environment Observing and promptly reporting any changes in patient status to the medical team Assisting with treatments and basic patient care as directed Supporting safe and smooth anesthesia recovery, including close observation during immediate post-op periods Maintaining accurate patient records and communication between shifts Ensuring patients are calm, comfortable, and recovering appropriately throughout the night If you’re someone who thrives in a quiet overnight setting and is passionate about patient care, we’d love to hear from you! Requirements

  • Greater than 1 years’ experience working in veterinary specialty and emergency as a veterinary assistant.
  • Experience working with Infinity / Impromed software.

Responsibilities
