This position combines both Veterinary Assistant and Reception responsibilities, including safely restraining pets, triaging incoming patients, obtaining medical histories, collecting and processing laboratory samples, assisting with diagnostic imaging, providing nursing care for hospitalized patients, administering medications, preparing for and assisting with surgery, and monitoring anesthesia. Team members will also greet clients, answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, process payments, maintain accurate medical records, and communicate treatment plans, estimates, and discharge instructions with professionalism and compassion. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and works collaboratively to provide outstanding care for both patients and their families. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises and may be exposed to animal bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
