Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant (emergency or specialty experience preferred)
  • Confidence in IV catheter placement and jugular blood draws
  • Strong patient handling and restraint skills
  • Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate in high-stress situations
  • Ability to participate in an overnight shift rotation

Responsibilities

  • Confidently place IV catheters
  • Draw blood and assist with diagnostics
  • Provide hands-on care and monitoring for hospitalized and critical patients
  • Assist veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians during treatments and procedures
  • Support patient comfort, safety, and recovery in a fast-paced setting
  • Help maintain an efficient, organized treatment area
