About The Position

VCA Ocean County Animal Hospital Group is a 3-location, 13-doctor hospital group seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Veterinary assistant to join and our medical team full time. This individual will potentially support our Fischer and Ocean County locations. Our hospitals are proudly AAHA accredited and are constantly working with new medical innovations in order to provide the highest quality care for our patients. We provide full digital x-ray, comprehensive ultrasound, in-house lab, access to boarded specialists, cautery, laparoscopic services, therapeutic cold laser, and exotics medical and surgical treatment to a large client base. Collaboration is a constant in our daily practice, and our team is dedicated to make it their mission to help pets live long healthy lives. Responsibilities

  • Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
  • Win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills in physical examinations and patient assessment.
  • Perform laboratory work.
  • Conduct venipuncture.
  • Administer pharmacy services.
  • Assist with patient recovery.
  • Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals.
