About The Position

Thunderbird Veterinary Hospital seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team of professionals. At Thunderbird, we celebrate our love for animals and recognize that our team’s commitment is the key to our success. Our hours of operation are Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Sat: 9:00am – 12:00pm. We are closed on Sundays.

Requirements

An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets.
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
