Veterinary Assistant (VA) - Long Beach
About The Position
Modern Animal is seeking a Veterinary Assistant in Long Beach to provide high-quality general practice care, support clients and their pets, and contribute to a compassionate, inclusive clinic culture. The role includes using technical skills in general practice care, including dental procedures, or developing skills in that area. Team members collaborate with coworkers, build trust through honest and empathetic communication, and represent Modern Animal as a compassionate partner in the community. Modern Animal promotes a human-centered and equitable workplace where team members can bring their full selves, challenge business as usual, and help shape clinic culture. The position offers a stated hourly pay range of $22–$26. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be offered as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related role.
- Strong general practice or dental experience, or a passion for developing in this area.
- Communicate with empathy and act with integrity.
- Interest in contributing to a culture that is transforming veterinary medicine.
