About The Position

Paws & Claws Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic that cares for cats and dogs, as well as all kinds of exotic animals and local injured wildlife. The staff members are professional and courteous, striving to deliver the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for all valued patients. The clinic is committed to clients and to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities. The veterinarians have a combined total of more than four decades of veterinary medical experience. The clinic also provides high-class pet boarding facilities.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience required

Proficient in sample collection
Proficient in obtaining medical histories
Proficient in processing laboratory tests and radiographs

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
