About The Position
Springboro Veterinary Clinic is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant. We are a five-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice with a well-established support staff dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We offer a wide range of services including orthopedics, behavioral consultations, nutritional counseling, and even house calls. Requirements
- Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Strong patient care and technical skills

Responsibilities
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
- Run in-house laboratory testing including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures while maintaining accurate records
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
- Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans
- Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection-control protocols
- Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflows and exceptional patient care
