At Country View Veterinary Service, Veterinary Assistants are essential to providing care for pets. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing skill, kindness, and hustle in various aspects of animal care, including exams, surgery preparation, and daily patient support. Responsibilities
- Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
- Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
- Administering medications as directed
- Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)
- Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
- Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
- Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
- Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care
- Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and DVMs to provide top-tier care
