About The Position
We are looking for a dependable, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our busy and growing veterinary team. This is a fast-paced position ideal for someone who works well independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must be available to work every other Saturday
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Must be reliable and able to work every other Saturday
Nice To Haves
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
- Experience with Avimark is a plus
- Bonus if able to draw blood and other technicial skills.
Responsibilities
- Assisting doctors and technicians with exams and treatments
- Animal restraint and patient care
- Drawing up and giving vaccines as appropriate
- Lab work and diagnostics - prepping labwork to send out as well as running in-house labwork
- Maintaining clean exam rooms and treatment areas
- Accurate medical recordkeeping (Avimark experience a plus!)
