About The Position

VCA Kickingbird Animal Hospital in Edmond, OK is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant. This busy practice sees dogs, cats, reptiles, and pocket pets, with 7 doctors fostering a strong sense of family. The Veterinary Assistant will support the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients, aiming to build client confidence and deliver exceptional care.

Requirements

Ability to restrain and assist in patient exams and routine procedures.
Skill in taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
Proficiency in filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
Experience performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
Ability to provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
Skill in maintaining medical records.
Willingness to assist Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
