About The Position

Our mission at Concord Chapel Animal Hospital is to provide a family-type atmosphere where every patient is treated as if they were a member of our own family. Each patient is treated as an individual, with love, and with the highest quality medicine possible, considering the client’s emotional and financial needs. We believe that preventative medicine is the cornerstone to maintaining happy, healthy pets. We help instruct our clients and staff on the latest preventative healthcare measures. In addition, we guide our clients throughout each stage of their pets’ lives. Education is just one of the keys to the successful treatment of our patients. We provide our team members with learning opportunities to help them do their best work and benefit our clients and patients. We strive for a friendly, professional workplace that encourages not only new ideas and ways of thinking but also promotes personal and professional growth! Our hours of operations are: Monday & Wednesday: 8am - 8pm, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday: 8am - 7pm, Saturday: 8am - 3pm. We are closed on Sundays.

Requirements

An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets.
Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
