About The Position

Riverlands Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to animal patient care, including restraint, triage, sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, medication administration, client communication, surgical preparation, and anesthetic management. The position requires the ability to work in an environment with unpleasant odors and noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases. The hospital offers opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and continuing development for career growth.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
