About The Position
Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to animal patient care, including restraint, sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging, nursing care, medication administration, client communication, surgical assistance, and anesthetic management. The position requires the ability to handle unpleasant conditions and potential exposure to animal-related hazards. Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
