Practice Grove City Veterinary Hospital has been serving the pets of Grove City, Ohio, and surrounding areas since 1975! Since then our team has grown to include two full-time veterinarians and a well-trained staff of veterinary nurses, assistants, and customer service representatives. We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant who is eager to use their patient care skill set while contributing to a positive, supportive culture where every team member matters.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (more with assistance).
- Commitment to OSHA safety standards and proper PPE use.
- Basic computer proficiency, working knowledge or willingness to learn EzyVet PiMS software, Vetcove Home Delivery, PetDesk, and Idexx bench top machines.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures.
- Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, and provide client education.
- Collect and process laboratory samples; perform in-house diagnostics.
- Take and maintain radiographs using proper safety protocols.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
- Provide safe animal handling (using Fear-Free and Low Stress Handling techniques) and compassionate patient care.
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
- Communicate clearly with doctors and team members regarding patient care plans and client concerns.
