About The Position

WVRC Waukesha is looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our Emergency department. The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.

Requirements

• Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
• Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required.
• Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.
• Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.

• Restraining of patients
• Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.
• Stocking the treatment areas
