Requirements

Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred
Strong communication and client service skills
Compassionate, team-oriented mindset
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Passion for veterinary medicine and patient advocacy

Responsibilities

Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Perform fluid therapy and sample collection
Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, and cytology
Support surgical and dental procedures, including prep, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized treatment environment
Collaborate with the team to support efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
