About The Position

Kent Veterinary Clinic provides full-service diagnostics, surgical care, and dental procedures for the treatment of small companion animals. We have a full range of laboratory, radiology, and dental equipment to provide the best service. We offer in-house diagnostics such as digital x-rays, bloodwork, and laser therapy. We also offer medical bathing, grooming, and a wide range of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for pets, all available in our in-house pharmacy. With a combination of one hundred years of Veterinary experience between Dr. Kent and Dr. Doucet, clients can be assured they are in great hands. We are a close-knit team that enjoys working hard and having fun together. Kent Veterinary Clinic is not only well-known in the community but also an active member of the Chamber of Commerce.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

Proficient in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

Pet restraint
Triage incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
