Requirements

Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
Confidence working in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong patient handling and technical skills, or the desire to continue developing them
Excellent communication skills with clients and teammates
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
A collaborative, team-first mindset
Positive attitude, reliability, and compassion
Passion for delivering exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology, and fecal testing
Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care
Educate clients regarding medications, discharge instructions, preventive care, and treatment plans
Maintain accurate medical records and support an efficient daily workflow
