Gateway Pet Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Assistant! Position Details Role: Veterinary Assistant Status: Full-time Salary: $21–$23 per hour Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturdays required. Or to hospital needs per DVM. 8:30 am-5:00 pm position weekdays, 10:00 am-6:00 pm Saturdays. Requirements

1 year plus experience of VA REQUIRED.
Must have worked in a veterinary office for 1 year.
Venipuncture, IV catheters, SQ/IM/IV experience preferred, restraint/handling skills required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgeries, and anesthesia monitoring
Safely restrain animals and provide compassionate patient care
Perform basic lab tests, collect samples, and take digital radiographs
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Maintain accurate medical records and support client communication
Keep exam, treatment, and surgery areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
