Veterinary Assistant Experienced
About The Position
VCA Baywood Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join their team. They care for dogs, cats, and some pocket pets, offering primary care, illness care, surgery, dentistry, boarding, and more. The hospital is open Monday through Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturdays 8am - 2pm, and closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position that requires weekend rotation. Compensation is $16 - $18 per hour, based on skill set and experience. As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, the role involves utilizing your skills and knowledge to provide compassionate patient care, client education and communication, patient assessment, anesthesia and surgery assisting, radiology, dentistry, IV catheter placement, blood draws, injections, fluids administration, laboratory sample collection and diagnostic testing, pharmacy, and medical recordkeeping.
