About The Position
Lake City Animal Health and Wellness Center is a full-service community animal hospital dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary services with a focus on accurate diagnostics, effective communication, compassionate animal treatment, and client education. We offer a wide range of services including wellness exams, surgery, onsite laboratory, radiology, dermatology, intensive care, vaccinations, microchipping, behavioral and nutritional counseling, internal medicine, dentistry, and pain management. Our practice is located in Warsaw, Indiana, a city known for its orthopedic industry and proximity to various recreational and cultural opportunities. Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
- Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
- Must be able to properly restrain pets
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in sample collection
- Obtaining medical histories
- Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
- Anesthesia monitoring
Responsibilities
- Pet restraint
- Triage incoming patients
- Collection and analysis of lab samples
- Diagnostic imaging
- Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
- Administration of medications
- Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
- Surgical preparation and assistance
- Anesthetic management
