Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
Sun Valley is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join their team. This role involves providing clinical and surgical support, including IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, blood collection, and hands-on assistance during surgeries. Experience with anesthesia monitoring is a plus. The ideal candidate is comfortable using IDEXX laboratory systems for diagnostics and is an energetic, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. A natural mentor who enjoys supporting and training colleagues is highly valued. The position requires working 4x10 hour shifts: Sunday, Monday, and two other flexible weekdays, from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Requirements
- Skilled in clinical procedures and surgical support, including IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, blood collection, and hands-on assistance during surgeries.
- Comfortable working with IDEXX laboratory systems.
- Energetic team player.
- Able to work 4x10s: Sunday, Monday, (2 other weekdays flexible), 8:30am-6:30pm.
Nice To Haves
- Anesthesia monitoring experience is a plus.
- Natural mentor and collaborator with a history of supporting, guiding, and training fellow team members.
