Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
All Pets Veterinary Hospital is seeking veterinary assistants who want to feel valued and make a difference in the lives of people and their pets. As a veterinary assistant, you will begin at an entry-level position with opportunities for growth through virtual and hands-on training and continuing development. A typical day involves stocking and cleaning, progressing to animal restraint and assisting support staff, and interacting with pets and their owners. This role requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
Requirements

- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner

- Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional manner
- A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 1-year experience preferred
- Flexible scheduling Monday through Friday
- A willingness to grow in the Veterinary field
- Avimark experience
- Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital
Responsibilities
- Stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital
- Animal restraint
- Assisting other support staff
- Interacting with pets and their owners
- Working directly with the veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible
