About The Position

PriorityPet Urgent Care is opening a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital in Aiken, offering accessible urgent care for pets every day from 12 noon until 10 pm. Our mission is to provide high-quality, easy-to-access veterinary care with a promise that exceptional pet care is our highest priority. Requirements

Minimum of 2-years experience required
Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
Availability to work some weekend shifts
Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
Compassionate, calm team player
Ability to multitask
Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in sample collection
Obtaining medical histories
Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
Anesthesia monitoring
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Responsibilities

Animal restraint
Triage of incoming patients
Collection and analysis of lab samples
Diagnostic imaging
Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
Administration of medications
Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
Surgical preparation and assistance
Anesthetic management
