About The Position
The Veterinary Assistant provides hands-on patient care and supports the medical team to help ensure compassionate treatment and an efficient clinic workflow. The role also contributes to a positive client experience by helping with scheduling, payments, and communications, and maintains a safe, clean hospital through clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
- Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the medical team with hands-on patient care, treating animals with compassion and respect.
- Anticipate veterinarians’ and technicians’ needs to support a smooth, efficient, and collaborative workflow.
- Assist clients with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous and informative manner.
