Requirements

  • Detail-oriented, quick-thinking, and possess strong clinical & communication skills.
  • A love for animals and a passion for the veterinary field
  • Minimum of 1 year veterinary hospital experience
  • An ability to manage time and priorities with minimal direct supervision
  • Punctuality and exceptional attendance
  • A willingness to work non-traditional hours such as weekends, evenings, and a share of holidays

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments while ensuring a safe, calm environment for patients.
  • Obtaining accurate patient histories from clients
  • Practice safe handling techniques of animal patients during exams and procedures
  • Collect diagnostic samples for in-house testing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized hospital environment including cleaning kennels and treatment areas
  • Restock supplies
  • Follow proper sanitation and sterilization protocols.
  • Compassion and professionalism are essential as you interact with clients, comfort patients, and collaborate with your team.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to support the overall care and efficiency of the hospital.
