Veterinary Assistant, Overnight Part time
About The Position
Bush Veterinary Neurology Service (BVNS) is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant for their overnight shift, specifically on Thursdays from 7pm to 7am. This role offers an opportunity to develop advanced skills in veterinary neurology by working hands-on with high-acuity patients. BVNS emphasizes growth, support, and collaboration, providing a comprehensive training program for technicians of all backgrounds, including those from general practice. They are also open to individuals currently enrolled in an RVT/LVT program and offer tuition reimbursement to help complete their studies.
Requirements
- Are eager to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a strong foundation in veterinary technical skills.
- Bring a great attitude each day and enjoys working with their teammates.
- Bring at least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

Responsibilities
- Play a vital role in delivering exceptional, dedicated care to our post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase.
- Learning and mastering neurological anatomy and functions.
- Patient restraint and learning how and why neurologic patients require specific restraint/patient care skills.
- Client education including intake and discharge instructions.
