About The Position

Tipp City Veterinary Hospital (TCVH) is seeking Veterinary Assistants to join their team. TCVH is an award-winning, AAHA-accredited hospital with over 40 years of experience serving the community. They care for canine, feline, exotic, and avian patients, as well as pet resort guests. The hospital is described as a vibrant, collaborative, and professionally supportive workplace with over 100 team members.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor
Eagerness to learn and grow with coaching and feedback
Basic computer literacy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and high standards of care

Nice To Haves

Experience is a plus but not required — we provide on-the-job training
Familiarity with Ezyvet software is a plus

Responsibilities

Monitoring and reporting changes in patient health
Assisting with basic treatments (bandaging, nail trims, ear cleaning)
Performing diagnostic lab tests and assisting with radiographs
Preparing and recording patient medical information
Assisting in surgical prep and recovery
Admitting and discharging patients
Cleaning and maintaining hospital areas and equipment
Educating clients about care, treatments, and products
Cross-training and assisting in other areas as needed

$1/hr Shift Differential for weekend shifts
