About The Position

Paws & Claws Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic that cares for cats and dogs, as well as all kinds of exotic animals and local injured wildlife. The staff members are professional and courteous, striving to deliver the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for all valued patients. The clinic is committed to clients and to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities. The veterinarians have a combined total of more than four decades of veterinary medical experience and the expertise to give pets quality medical care. They also provide high-class pet boarding facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience preferred

• Must be able to properly restrain pets
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Nice To Haves

• Proficient in sample collection
• Obtaining medical histories
• Processing laboratory tests and radiographs
• Anesthesia monitoring

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint
• Triage incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Anesthetic management
