About The Position

Madison Veterinary Specialists (MVS) and Emergency is a privately owned, AAHA Referral practice looking to enhance its growing Surgery team by hiring a Veterinary Assistant. This role involves working closely under the direction of Board-Certified Surgeons and Certified Veterinary Technicians to perform delegated tasks. The ideal candidate will embody a culture of courteous and attentive treatment towards colleagues and possess a keen sensitivity to the hospital environment. MVS has Board Certified Veterinarians in Oncology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, and Dermatology.

Requirements

• Greater than 1 years’ experience working in veterinary specialty and emergency as a veterinary assistant
• Proficient with veterinary terminology
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain the efficiency of the service by utilizing time management skills to recognize and complete tasks in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Infinity / Impromed software

Responsibilities

• Patient discharge and client education
