About The Position

VCA Animal Specialty & Emergency Center is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the Oncology Department at our AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency and multi-specialty practice in West Los Angeles, California. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Wednesday - Saturday, 8:30 AM - 7 PM. The salary range is $20 - $30 per hour. VCA ASEC is a high-volume, AAHA-accredited, state-of-the-art specialty referral and 24-hour critical care hospital. We are a fast-paced teaching hospital that provides an amazing learning environment and a rewarding caseload. Team members who have a strong desire to learn and great communication skills are a must.

Requirements

• Proficient in Patient Handling
• Proficient in Assisting in Patient Treatments
• Proficient in Client education and care
• Proficient in Support for the client service team
• Proficient in Equipment Maintenance
• Experience with computers, phones, and billing is a must.
• Strong desire to learn
• Great communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Veterinary Medicine preferred
