About The Position

Chester Basin Animal Hospital is seeking a dependable and caring Veterinary Assistant, Client Care Coordinator for a part-time role. This position is crucial for the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital, with a primary responsibility to ensure clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated. Nice To Haves

Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset
Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset!

Responsibilities

Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients
General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages
Admitting and discharging pet patients
Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
Scheduling appointments
